This precious early Christian white chasuble made of fine shantung silk, with a square neckline in golden papal wool, is inspired by the Byzantine world.
The shape of this white chasuble recalls the ancient wheel shape of the original church, revisited in a modern key to make it more convenient to use.
On the front and back, the stolons feature a decoration inspired by the mosaics of Ravenna, characterized by two embroidered motifs, the lily and the cross, set in alternating geometric shapes. Also particular is the alternation of the fabrics on which the embroidery is made, the white and shiny silk and the golden and shiny papal wool, framed by a delicate openwork agreman.
Pearls and crystals, rigorously sewn by hand, further enrich the decoration. The same topaz-colored crystals are present on the trimmings which embellishes the square neckline and which runs along the entire profile of the early Christian white chasuble.
Even the priestly stole coordinated with this sacred vestment is decorated with the same decorative motif that characterizes the entire early Christian white chasuble, and is made even more precious by twelve golden bows, sewn by hand.
