The baroque chalice that you can admire here in all its details is entirely in hand-chiseled 800 silver and made taking into account the specific requests of our customer.
As can be seen from the images, each detail of the chalice is studied down to the smallest detail: starting from the under-cup and ending at the base, personalized decorative elements have been inserted which have been well integrated into the baroque style of the chalice, characterized by acanthus leaves and overhangs typical of this style.
The symbolic value of the baroque chalice in silver
The golden cup of the silver baroque chalice is surmounted by a richly decorated under-cup. The symbols that embellish the under-cup are the classic bunch of grapes with vine leaves, flanked by the hand-engraved Marian symbol, the embossed lamb and the embossed and engraved symbol of the oratory of the Filipino fathers.
The stem of the baroque chalice, slender and with a comfortable grip, leads to the base of the chalice where our craftsmen have best expressed their skilful art. Four other symbols are chiseled in the ovals that space out the Baroque embossing: the crucified Christ, the whole figure of Saint Thecla, the bust of Saint Philip Neri, the Madonna with the Child Jesus.
Four rubies set at the base of the Baroque chalice contribute to giving it a precious and sacredness to the chalice itself.
The rendering of the details of the figures is made thanks to a skilful use of chiselling and burnishing, made exclusively by hand. The priestly chalice is thus enriched with a great symbolic value, an expression of the great devotion of the client.
