The baroque style silver chalice
The silver chalice is a wonderful example of a Baroque style chalice. The swirls and floral motifs that embellish the chalice have been masterfully chiseled by hand. Every smallest decorative detail is studied in detail in order to make this silver chalice a masterpiece of sacred art.
The PL117 silver chalice has personalized decorative elements: the slaughtered lamb, placed on the undercup of the chalice; the bust of St. Nicholas and the Assumption on the base of the chalice. These decorative elements alternate with bunches of grapes.
