The beautiful silver liturgical chalice was made entirely by hand in the Progetto Liturgico laboratory.
The silver liturgical chalice is hand-chiseled in the classic Baroque style, with soft shapes inspired by the floral world. Within the narrative complex of the decoration, we find personalized elements, which make this silver liturgical chalice unique.
If we look at the cup, we first notice the beautiful pelican chiseled (by hand) in the act of piercing his own breast to feed the chicks. Simply wonderful in all its details.
Continuing in the observation of the cup of the liturgical chalice in silver, we will find the three sacred hearts, of Jesus, Mary and Saint Joseph, faithfully engraved on the silver. This is followed by a beautiful bunch of grapes, the symbol par excellence of the blood of Jesus.
The same bunches of grapes are chiseled on the wonderful base of this splendid silver liturgical chalice.
As we can see, the PL165 silver liturgical chalice is another masterpiece made thanks to the mastery of the silversmiths in our workshops.
The chalice was made starting from the customer's request. Here is the initial report respecting which we have created the work
"The presence of the Three Sacred Hearts - of Jesus, Mary and Joseph - makes this chalice very special and somewhat exclusive in its meaning. The Sacred Heart of Jesus sacrifices itself for our love in every Mass celebrated, and gives us the Most Precious Blood which is contained in the sacred chalice, Blood which He himself received in the virginal womb of the divine Mother.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary, also immolated on Calvary, mystically pierced by a spear, offers itself together with that of the Son, inseparable from Him, one Heart with the One who was always the "Heart of his Heart".
The Chaste Heart of Saint Joseph also participates in a unique way in the redemptive offering of the divine Son, albeit in a less evident way, and not only for the inexpressible union of love that tightens these Three Hearts, but also for the special bond that he had with the Most Precious Blood in the Circumcision of our Redeemer. Indeed, we can well believe that, as the putative Father of Jesus, the task of circumcising the divine Son fell precisely to him, thus participating closely in the moment in which, as a pledge of our Redemption, the divine Infant poured the first drops of his Precious Blood. On the other side of the cup, almost as a mirror reflection of the mystery of these Three Hearts, we find the image of the Pelican, symbol of the Mother who feeds the children of her own blood. "
